A New Year, A New Start....

Everyone sets resolutions. Few follow them. But there is just something SO great about the start of a new year. For some reason, it just feels good to set goals. Knowing you may or may not follow through with them is up to you. As I think back on this past year, it was a pretty busy year!
I:
-participated in many road trips for my husbands fast pitch softball tournaments
-Went through the hassle of shopping for homes
-Finally bought our first home
-Organized and decorated our home (I state this separately because it WAS a whole different task)
-Celebrated our 1 year anniversary (and the 2nd ones right around the corner)
-Traveled to Washington to visit family
-Added a member to our family.... my cute puppy Remi
-Sold my crafts in a boutique for my first time
-Had a very relaxing cabin get-a-way in Crouch, Idaho
-Joined a book club (you know your an adult when....)
-Started my own cook group which I host once a month
-Started making and selling jewelry
-Shot my first wedding (photography.... in case the whole shooting a wedding came out wrong)
-Made lots of new friends in our new ward/neighborhood

And most importantly, I have worked my little fanny off with a full time job. Between the regular 40-60 hour work weeks + overtime for on call. I have been very, VERY busy!

Things that I look forward to this next year:
-Braden finishing his last FULL year off school. He will graduate in early 2011 with his Masters
-Celebrate our two year anniversary
-Traveling even more for Braden's tourneys
-Supporting Braden with his new Coaching job for the PG Varsity Baseball team
-U of U baseball games (Braden's brother plays there)
-Camping, and outdoor adventures come the summer
-Spending more time with those that matter most

Goals I'm setting:
1.)Becoming a better cook, I want to continue to add new recipes to my stash! (you can call me Betty)
2.)Start a new hobby.... SEWING!
3.)Become MORE crafty!!!
4.)Pay more attention to my much neglected scrapbook
5.)Get better with scripture study/temple attendance
6.)More one on one time with my husband
7.)Find ways to be of service to others
8.)Maintain good friendships by having game nights at least once a month
9.)Start my food storage
10.)Maybe work on an addition to the family? hmm.

Who knows which ones i'll follow through with, guess you'll have to stay tuned and find out.

Sounds like a few of our resolutions are the same :) I like to take recipes out of my magazines, retype them, put the picture with it, and put them all in a binder. I try them and if we like them we keep them and if we don't they get torn out and in to the garbage they go.
