Viva Las Vegas

Well it has come and gone, again...too soon! But this past weekend was a BLAST! I'll jump at any chance to escape to some nice weather. The first two pictures below compare and contrast the difference in weather that we experienced within a matter of hours! We took off last Friday and up until Cedar City it was just white EVERYWHERE. There was a bout 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground. It was miserable! But with the destination in mind, I endured it. As soon as we hit St. George it cleared up and was absolutely BeAuTiFuL! We got to Vegas in about 5 1/2 hours flat. It was awesome! Great timing. We had enough time to go check into our hotel before the game started that night. (The whole reason for us going down was to watch Braden's brother play his baseball game series against UNLV, Braden's team he played on for the past four years.) Well the game started around 7 so by the time it was over, we were all tired and headed back to the hotel to hang out. Braden took me down to the casino. (First time he's been able to do that) And I didn't even have anyone ID me. I was totally bumbed, I wanted to pull out my drivers licence and be like "Ha, see? I AM 21!" But we tried to show me how to play some machines, and I was SOOO lost. I dont know like hardly anything about card game so it would have been pointless for me to even attempt. And they didn't have UNO, so....ha ha. I did play a few 25 cent rounds of KENO. Thats about it. Just for the chance to say 'yeah, i've gambled.' ha ha. Saturday we went out to breakfast, and then headed to the ball park. The weather was great. Lots of sun. After the game Saturday evening, we went to dinner at Sunset Station. They have this Delicious all you can eat Buffet. And I think Braden ate just about ALL he could eat. I don't know WHERE he puts it. After that, we headed to this bowling alley there at the same hotel/casino we were at. Can I just say...I have NEVER EVER EVER seen such a big bowling alley. They had 70 LANES! It was gigantic. But it was fun, we had a really enjoyable time. It got quite competitive between the boys. But what do you expect? ha ha. Sunday we went out to breakfast again, to the game, and pretty much just left straight from there to drive home. The game went into extra innings, so we didn't get home last night til around 11. Short night. But overall we had a lot of fun. It was great for Braden because he was able to visit with alll his buddies that he played with and his coaches. They were all so happy to see him. I think it was kind of hard for him to go back there and be in that stadium and not be able to be playing out on the field. UNLV ended up winning the 3 game series. (I was cheering for them mainly because I knew them all.) But would cheer for Devin as well everytime he was up. Anyway...It was a wonderful weekend. Great weather, in fact....too good. The sunburns me and Braden got is another post in and of itself. ha. OUCH!
