We welcomed this beautiful little baby girl into this world Friday September 17th at 9:32pm. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz, and was 19.5 inches long. Healthy as can be and cute as a bug! Lots of blonde hair, and the cutest personality already.
My 'labor story' is an easy one.... I started having contractions Thursdays (while on call at work), they just weren't very regular. However they lasted all through Friday (which I put up with while at work). I headed home tried to rest for awhile, however the contractions got closer and WAY more intense. About 2-3 minutes apart, I knew it was time to head back to the hospital.
We walked right in, I was their only patient, I was already dilated 6cm and 90% effaced. I recieved my epidural within about 45 minutes of walking in the door. Thank heaven for that! I rested for a while, preparing for what was in store, and a couple hours later started pushing.
I only pushed about 12 times, for a total of 22 mins. and there she was! Simple as that. I couldn't have asked for an easier labor experience. The nurses and Dr. was so surprised how quick and easy it went for a first timer! My Dr. made the comment "You're just one of those that's meant to have kids."
I'm so grateful everything went well and so fast and easy. We're so blessed! I delivered one week early, which I wouldn't have any other way. Braden and I have been so anxious to meet this little bundle of joy, and she's finally here! We're currently just waiting to be discharged from the hospital, and can't wait to take her home!

SHE IS ADORABLE YOU GUYS!! Great work!! Im so glad to hear everything went smoothly for you!! I hope we can all get together soon! (ok, it'll be a while- adjusting from here takes time) So glad you finally get to HOLD her and LOVE her!! Its the best feeling in the world!! Take care of yourself!! Rest as much as possible! :)

I'm very jealous of your labor experience but very glad that it went well for you. I'm sure it was still difficult - it is LABOR after all! She is so cute, you two did a great job! Get well soon!
